I am so happy that I read this book. Not only is it written in a beautifully simple way, it really connects with the everyday person! The author provides a narrative that makes you feel as if you're talking to someone who truly cares.

This book gave me a new perspective and much more helpful advice than other self help books I've read. It contains explanations and breakdowns of various life examples and how to approach and conquer them. My favorite part of the book and the list of how to stay motivated - and my new motto is going to be "be the Phoenix!" read this book and it will be your motto, too!

As someone who has struggled throughout their life, this book was a fantastic read for me personally. I used to be more ambitious when I was younger, and fell away from this when I began to have many life altering events occur in a short period of time. After reading Self-Discipline, I feel motivated to start all over again with my confidence and aspirations. This book gives you a fantastic list of how to become more disciplined, along with the tools and mentality to achieve your goals. I recommend this for anyone who has been struggling or even successful, because there were tips that I would not think of to mention to others.

This book is so amazing. If you’re looking for a book to help you achieve your goals, this is a must read. I don’t read self-help books but I felt like I needed some motivation to change my ways. I always felt like I do everything I can to complete my goals. The truth is things get in the way and I lower the priority on my own goals. This leads me to procrastinate a lot. That always makes me quite sad, I have some big goals like being my own boss by being a business owner. To own my own business and be successful, I needed to learn to be more disciplined with myself. With what being said, I picked up this book. With the help of this book, I feel like I can actually do what I want to do in my life.

Each chapter is in an easy-to-follow format that is broken down into sections. This format makes it easy to read and help makes the content less heavy. There is also something for everyone in every chapter. If you prefer things broken down in a list format, it’s in this book. Do you like relatable situations, this book got that too. This also has some tip and tricks on how to stop getting in your own way and achieve what you want. The author, Jennifer Alison, did a great job making this book easy to read for anyone.
